Sunday, June 20th, 2010

Denton’s Trotline is one of my personal favorite places to play in the metro area. Last night was a show to remember with a crowd of about 200 packed shoulder to shoulder.  According to Robert Denton it was the biggest night they’d ever had!  If you wanna check out some pics you can go to Denton’s website at http://www.lovedentons.com

103.7 the buzz plugged us for three days and did one hell of a job. Once again thanks to Robert Denton and all the staff for a great time. We will see y’all sept 10 with Daryle Singletary!

New Year’s Party with Ryan Couron and Band

Tuesday, January 12th, 2010

We left the village after playing with Justin Moore and hauled down the road to our managers shop where I we had about 150 people waiting on us to get there.

We pulled up and let me tell you there was a party goin’ on. We had all the decorations up and all bubbly we could drink haha.

Needless to say we had a great time bringin’ in the new year with great friends.  2010 is gonna be a great year!

Happy New Year everybody!

New Year’s Show with Justin Moore

Tuesday, January 12th, 2010

Well, as some of you know, we played a show with Justin Moore at the village new years eve. It was a great time and we love playin’ with Justin.

Some of you may not know this but he was back stage as we were going on. I got to talk to him for about ten minutes and he said he likes to see other artist do their thing but doesn’t want to take away from the artist, so he was hiding behind the door to the stage.

He really is a great guy and musician, and I would like to thank him for having us out.

Ohh… and congrats to Justin for pickin’ up a tour with Brad Paisley (hell yea!!).

Goose and Beaver Huntin’ with Ryan Couron

Tuesday, December 15th, 2009

Stuttgart- Hey, so i went to stuttgart with my little brother and a good friend Steele Jessup who owns 3000 acres there. We decided since the geese weren’t around that we would go beaver huntin’. Yes, beaver huntin’.

Beaver huntin’ instructions… break a beaver dam, crack open a beer, and wait till the little furry guys come to repair it. It seems mean and cruel but beavers are actually a bad problem for farmers. My little brother and Steele both killed beavers about 25 pounds and I got lucky like I always do and killed one that weighed about 80 pounds.

The next mornin’ Steele and I got up and went goose huntin’ and had about 500 of ‘em come in on us. Needless to say I got my limit but my buddy Steele blamed his problems on his gun – wink wink. I want to thank Steele for havin’ me down for a great time. OH, btw beavers really don’t like it when you use dynamite to destroy their dams. Thank you Matt Shepard… lol.

Opening Weekend of Deer Season

Saturday, December 12th, 2009

Opening weekend of modern gun I got a chance to finally go down to deer camp for deer season to see how “plush” this camp is.  I had a great time and it was “plush” the guys at the camp treated me very well.

The only problem was that I had to leave early after kenzy shot a doe opening morning cause i got a dang eye infection. Let me tell yall it is dang hard to see a deer with your eye swollen the size of a christmas goose and red as rudolph’s nose.  But all in all i would like to thank Todd and Scott for having me down there and everyone else that is a member of the camp.

Deer Huntin’ with Ryan Couron

Tuesday, December 1st, 2009

Opening day of muzzle loader deer season I took Kenzy huntin out at my bosses property and made him mad by shootin a big ole buck off his stand. I love it. We had sat there for about 2 hours when he and a doe had come out and Kenzy said shoot that big ole buck so we can go to the house! lol. So I shot him. If you want to see any pictures of the deer it is on facebook with pics of me and Kenzy with it.

Grumpy’s Thanksgiving Gig

Grumpy’s

The show at Grumpy’s after Thanksgiving was awesome. I drank a little too much beer but you know how that show goes. It’s a great time for acoustic music and to let loose a little bit. I had a buddy of mine, David Byrnes from nashville, come up and do some songs with me. Great guy and musician. I am runnin’ out of things to say but you know what?… The crowd and fans at Grumpy’s are great, loyal and fun as hell.
