Born in California, Ryan Couron is a natural country boy by God’s grace. When on stage, this 26-year-old melts his influences into a sound mixed with traditional country and southern-rock with a healthy twist of the new country music as well, contributing to the establishment of his strong fan base in the entire Arkansas area. Combined with his original songs, including the debut CD “Play What I Feel Like,” a comfortable and confident stage presence and strides toward a new direction, 2011 has been an outstanding year that has produced great progress in Ryan’s young career.
The grandest highlight of 2011 came in October, when Ryan won the KSSN Country Radio Station’s “Battle of the Bands Contest” in Little Rock. It had over 90 bands entered for the opportunity to open for Diamond Rio, Sara Evans, Eric Church and Toby Keith at the Zoo Jam on October 2nd, and was based on daily fan votes, which Ryan lead from the very beginning.
Other noteworthy 2011 dates:
1. June 24, KSSN Radio Appreciation show with Colt Ford
2. Sept. 16, White County Fair, Searcy, AR with Little Texas
3. Oct. 8, Old Tyme Days, Benton, AR with Little Texas and Restless Heart

In addition, Ryan signed an endorsement agreement with Southern Marine Supply in Little Rock and established a relationship with Bad Boy Mowers in pursuit of potential opportunities for the future. He has performed at corporate events for Southern Marine Supply, Bad Boy Mowers, Inc, Bumper to Bumper and Fredrick’s Equipment. KATV Channel 7’s “Good Morning Arkansas” has been a local television appearance Ryan has made on numerous occasions, featuring the band acoustically. Local venues that continue to book Ryan include, The Rev Room, Sticky Fingers, Juanita’s, Front Street Grill, Shooter’s in Texarkana and Denton’s Trotline.
In 2012, Ryan will begin the year with new management and a forthcoming single release in March.
On a more personal note, Ryan still resides in Benton, AR to take advantage of the resources country life has to offer. His musical style was influenced by such greats as: Chris LeDoux, Randy Travis, Travis Tritt, Alan Jackson and Hank Williams, Jr. He discovered his vocal talent in a peculiar month long experience at age 16, while attending a Catholic seminary for Gregorian chant classes in Pennsylvania. Ryan is a charismatic, raw talent dedicated to his musical career and his passion can be seen in how he meets and greets with his crowds, fans and friends.
