Ryan’s name might be the one across the CD cover, t-shirts, and posters, but he’s the first to say it’s not all about him.

Ryan first recorded a five-song pre-release in 2007 and finished up an additional eight songs to complete the full-length, 13-track cd in December 2008. A highlight during the recording process, Ryan says, was bringing in the talents of musician’s such as Tim Crouch, Doug Deforest, and Mike Kennedy, the road drummer for George Strait.

Launching the cd’s release called for nothing short of a great big ole’ party, and that’s exactly what Ryan and boys threw. They hosted a rowdy, fun celebration for a sold-out crowd at Juanita’s in Little Rock in January 2009. The guys couldn’t have been happier about the fans’ response. “They’ve made us the number one unsigned band on MySpace in Arkansas,” Ryan says.

Ryan Couron, the lead singer, rhythm guitar player, and harmonica player is joined by JC McInnis, lead guitarist who’s been playing with Ryan since both guys were teenage ranch hands and who writes most of the music along with Ryan. Then there’s Ryan’s older brother, Eric Couron, a shop foreman at a welding company who plays the bass guitar and banjo. And on the drums is Craig Pilkington, whom Ryan and JC hand-picked after seeing him play with another group. The newest addition to the band is Marc Matoska, the steel guitar player. Marc is probably the most experienced musician in the band. He was on the road with Tracy Byrd for almost 15 years, and has played everywhere from sold out arenas to the Grand Ole Opry.

All in all, the band’s a perfect fit. “We all get along great,” Ryan says. “I wouldn’t mind being on the road with any of these guys 24-7.”
